Child Protection Courses

Please note that the Child Protection Course scheduled for today the 18^th November is now full. A second course will take place on Wednesday 25 November in Cloghan, 7-10pm.

Monaghan GAA will be holding an additional Child Protection course in Cloghan on Wednesday 25 November, 7-10pm
Cost per person is €10

It is recommended that all those who are involved within GAA clubs have completed a child protection course and this should be repeated every three years. This includes all coaches, committee members, referees, groundsmen, bus drivers and anyone else who may have direct contact with children. If clubs are interested in hosting one within their club, can they please contact John McArdle, childrensofficer.monaghan@gaa.ie<mailto:childrensofficer.monaghan@gaa.ie> and we will try to arrange a suitable date.

One of the initiatives for 2016 from Monaghan GAA is that all names of managers, coaches and first aiders must be forwarded on in advance of the playing season for verification of completion of garda vetting and child protection courses. Anyone who cannot demonstrate that they have successfully completed both of these will be forced to remove themselves from any participation in our juvenile activities.
