Aughnamullen Notes

Lotto Results: Lotto Results for Sunday last. Numbers drawn were 07, 19, 20 & 24. There was no winner. Next weeks Jackpot now stands at €2,100. Lucky dip winners: Ann Blanche, Owen Gorman, Eithne Forde, Mickey Connolly, Mark Duffy, Babara Lennon, Seamus Conlon, Donomic Heart, Dermot Hannaway & Gerard Mc Geough. Next weeks lotto team is: John Sheridan, Patrick Duffy, Rosemary Johnston & Liam Gamble. Lotto teams that cannot do their night must organise someone to fill their space.

Seniors: Our senior boys have earned themselves a well deserved place in the final against Dooamlet on Sunday week the 22nd of November venue to be decided.

A.G.M. Our annual A.G.M. has been postponed until further notice.

ARM  BAND’S: Anyone with armbands belonging to the football club, please hand them into any committee member or drop them into the centre. Thank you.

POOL  COMPETITION: The Owen Bannigan Memorial pool competition starting soon, all names to be given to Martin Mc Mahon on 0877336372. 

JUVENILES:

Thank You: Thanks very much to the family members of the late Peadar Daly for their kind donation to Aughnamullen juvenile’s from the proceeds of their poetry book launch fundraiser night that took place last month. A cheque of €1430 was presented to members of the juvenile committee by the members of the late Peadar Daly on Saturday evening last in the Aughnamullen Social Centre. The money raised was divided between Aware and the Aughnamullen juveniles who are very much appreciate on a brilliant night that was organised by the family.

Attention Coaches: To all Aughnamullen coaches that are involved at juvenile level (Under the age of 18 years) Monaghan GAA are running two child protection course in November. One on Wed 18 November 7-10pm in Cloghan. The second is on 25 November 7-10pm

Please note: In 016 no manager, coach or first aider will be allowed to be involved in any team where there are children under 18 years of age participating in less they have completed their child protection course and have also completed their Garda vetting. Anyone who did their child protection more than four years ago should also have their child protection renewed.

Garda vetting forms are available on Monaghan GAA website. Please forward on names to Dermot Hamill for these courses ASAP. Cost €10 per person.

DATES  FOR  YOUR DIARY: Our footballers are taking the MOVEMBER challenge Anyone who wishes to join our boys with this challenge can get sponsor cards from any committee member. Proceeds will go to SOSAD and Ballybay Cancer Society. The challenge will finish with a table quiz in the centre, so support our lads or better still join them in their Movember Challenge.

Annual Poker Classic on Sunday the 6th of December. Tickets on sale shortly.

Christmas party night on Sunday the 27th of December..

Keep Free: Sunday the 22nd of November second model toy show and mega truck show is being held at the GlenCarn hotel Castleblayney from 12-6pm. Proceeds for Children with Downsyndrome and Castleblayney Care. A great family funday is Gratanteed
