Junior Football League Semi Final.

Our semi-final draw took us to our old rivals , Rockcorry, on Sunday last. This was our final hope for the promotion this year, however it would once again prove to be our undoing. The game lived up to its billing of a close and dogged affair. Scores were traded in what was a superbly entertaining game with full on commitment from both sides and no quarter given nor taken. Goals and points were the order of the day and while there was no runaway leader it was nip and tuck up to the final minute. The result , in the end by the slenderest of margins, gave Rockcorry the right of passage to the final. However the manner in which the Seans, battled , harried and fought until the final whistle, typified a remarkable attitude which has been developing all year. While the result was disappointing for everyone concerned the bigger picture would suggest the team is evolving into a committed unit which will hopefully receive their just rewards in the near future with promotion and some silverware. A sincere thank you to the players and mentors on their Trojan work during the season and with a wee bit of luck next year it will be our year.

The Biggest and Best Bingo continues every Monday night in the complex. The usual prizes are on offer. The big jackpot now stands at €9100 on 45 calls and  €4600 on 45 calls

The number sequence 8,6,7,1,2,3,4,5  drawn on Monday 26^th Oct. for a jackpot prize of €11,000 was not correctly forecast.

However there was an entrant who came within one number of the correct sequence. A prize of € 200 was awarded to Lucy McGinnty C/o Kathleen McEntee Lisnashannagh for getting the sequence of numbers so close.
