Seniors v Killeevan

Our seniors recorded a well earned win in the last league game of the season with Killeevan. It was a real cut and thrust tie between rival clubs but played in the best of spirit. Scores were exchanged throughout the first half with some fine points and goals racked up by both sides. Killeevan were two points to the good at the break and they began where they left off at the start of the second half by tagging on a few more scores. The Seans displayed great character and determination in grinding out scores and possession to keep in touch with the visitors. The home team had given debuts to some players and introduced subs at critical times which spurred on the performance. In a nail biting finish , the home team kicked the winning scores and run out winners by one point.

The semi-final of the League takes place on Sunday against Rockcorry at 2pm. This is a home game for Rockcorry and we urge all patrons to make the effort to travel to the game and show their support and encouragement to the team. Support is vital in away fixtures and hopefully it can help the team rise to the occasion.

Bingo

Special Halloween Bingo on Monday the 26th of Oct. This Bingo is in aid of the Juvenile Committee of the club and all funds raised will go to the expenses of equipment and travel for all juvenile members.

There will spot prizes galore and the Jackpots stand at €9000 and €4500 on 45 calls respectively.

Families of juvenile players are encouraged to attend and support the event which promises to be a monstrously frightening event of goodies and prizes..
