U 6’s and U 8’s:

We welcomed our Cavan neighbours Drung last Saturday morning for a challenge with our U 6’s and U 8’s. Good weather and a strong Drung support provided for an enjoyable morning for all.

It was a historic day for the club as it was the first time we fielded an U-6 team for a competitive game. The U-6 panel was Aoibheann Molloy, Therese Molloy, Aine McGuigan, Ciara Markey, Kate Rudden, Odhran Mullholland, Kian Murphy, Tiarnan McEntee, Jack Marron, Eddie Duffy and Adam Agnew. Well done to coach Roisin and Damian who stepped in to help out.

Our U-8’s played a very competitive game with our visitors. The Currin panel on the day were Killian Kierans, Aaron Smith, Ryan Smith, Caolan Connolly Smith, Zach Rooney, Phelim Brady, Oran Hackett, Sean McQuaid & Danny Madden. Well done and thank you to Oisin Mc Philips who refereed the game. Well done all. We plan to travel to Drung on Saturday 3rd October for a return fixture. There will be more details closer to the time.

‘Go Games’.

The Under 10 ‘Go Games’ Blitz on Saturday 26th will take place from 10 to 12 in Tyholland. Transport will be leaving the village at 9:00. This is the final blitz of 2015.

GAA youth Forum:

This forum will take place on Saturday 24th October in Croke Park and is for players aged 12 – 21 both male and female. The theme of the Forum is ‘Your Voice, Your Lifestyle, Your GAA’ and 200 delegates will receive an opportunity to attend the Forum and participate in sessions relating to Food & Nutrition as well as S&C. The young players will also get to submit an online lifestyle diary and engage with a practical demo of the Gaelic15 warm up in the Hogan Stand Dressing Rooms.
