Seniors:

Currin took on Tyholland in Emyvale on Friday night last  in the Intermediate championship. In a great game of football we battled back on numerous occasions to finish the game level after sixty minutes. At half time we had trailed 0-9 to 0-6, but showed great determination to bring the game to extra time. Despite going behind to an early goal we again showed a commendable team spirit which brought us into the lead only to see the opposition snatch a dramatic draw on a scoreline of 1-18 to 2-15. We do it all again on Friday night again in Emyvale at eight o clock. Well done to all involved. Team and scorers, Fergal Connolly, Cian North, Sean Brady, Colm Mc Caffrey, Paddy Mc Dermott, Ciaran Mc Caffrey, 0-1, Ronan King, Eoin Morrow, Dick Clerkin,0-1, Shane O Connor, 0-1, Stephen Smith, (0-4), Enda Mc Caffrey, 0-1,Jack Mc Carron, (1-9), Niall Mc Entee, 0-1, Kieran Kearns. Under 16’s

The Currin Under 16s amalgamated with Aghabog as Patrick Emmetts continued their very impressive season by winning their Championship final in very impressive style last Thursday evening against Toome in Rockcorry. The lads were determined not to slip up and led from the outset to the end. The half time score was 3 06 to 1 03 with the final score registering at 3 16 to 1 08. Well done to Ciaran and Shane and to all of the lads. The Currin players on the team were Caomhan O’Neill McDermott, Cillian Martin, Kevin Murphy, Conor Smyth and Tiarnan Kearns. These under 16’s are out again tonight (Thursday) in the League Final against Sean MacDiarmada in Tyholland at 7pm. Best of luck to the lads in their quest for the ‘double’ which would be a fitting reward for two years hard work from the mentors and players. Seans are the only team to beat Patrick Emmetts all year in the League so a good support is important and is very much appreciated.
Under 14’s

The League Cup semi final against Rockcorry will be held in Scotshouse on Saturday 5th September at 12 noon. All support appreciated, lets see this last home game of the year out with plenty of support for a really hard working team who, with the Champiohsip secured weeks ago, now look to get into the League Cup Final.
