AUGHNAMULLEN  JUVENILE:
Under 14’s

Under 14 Final: Hard luck is extended to the Under 14 team who were beaten in the league final on Saturday last in Drumhowan. They put in a very spirited performance but unfortunately had to succumb to a better Eire Og team on the day.

The boys started well with a good goal by Joel Wilson scores were coming thick and fast and it was evident from early on that this was going to be a tough encounter between 2 well trained sides and entering the final few minutes scores were level however a turning point came close to half time with Joel Wilson tearing through on goal the Eire Og defender pulled down Joel but half time Aughnamullen lead by 2-04 to 1-06.

Into the second half Eire Og with the advantage of the wind made it count on the score board and as hard Aughnamullen tried they failed to reduce the lead Eire Og had.  Eire Og were not to be denied and  ran out winners on a score line of 2-14 to 2-06. This is a great and up and coming bunch of lads and will surely represent the club for years to come where you have the excellent shot stopper James Hannaway in goals to tight marking corner backs of Jay Marron and Gavin Bannigan in defence ably assisted by attack minded wing backs in Liam Duffy and Sean Hamill, in midfield is the strength of Joel Wilson and hardworking Adam Blanche and the forward line of Jason Duffy, Aaron Hamilton, Cillian Mc Connell and Ryan Johnston who gave their opponents nightmares when bearing down on goal and the above players were ably assisted by panel players Martin Sheridan, Shay Duffy, Killian Mc Geough and Luke Murtagh

However credit given to their mentors of Dermot Hamill, Sean Duffy, Frank Marron, Jake Murtagh & Gerard Mc Geough and first aid person Philomena Duffy this was a great year for this team winning the championship.

Team V Eire Og: James Hannaway, Jay Marron, Gavin Bannigan, Liam Duffy, Sean Hamill, Adam Blanche, Joel Wilson,  Jason Duffy, Aaron Hamilton, Cillian Mc Connell, Ryan Johnston, Martin Sheridan, Shay Duffy, Killian Mc Geough, Luke Murtagh,
