Our U12 team suffered a narrow 4 point defeat in the semi final of the Monaghan league last Monday night on a scoreline of 0-5 to 1-6. Hard luck to the players and mentors involved

U14s
Our U-14 team have qualified for the semi finals of the Monaghan league. This game will be played on the 17th of August and details will be confirmed in next week’s notes

U16s
The U16s had an impressive win over Truagh in the league on Monday night. Starting with the aid of a strong wind, the lads opened up a 4-5 to 0-1 lead by half time. Truagh came back into the game in the second half but the lads held out comfortably for a 7-6 to 3-5 win. Best for Blayney were David Irwin, Colin Merrick, Omar Duffy, Stephen Irwin and Joshua Mone

Seniors
All roads lead to Clontibret this Sunday as our senior team look to retain the Mick Quigley Cup. The final against Inniskeen which throws in at 3.30 promises to be a great game. Hopes are high that the team can emulate the achievements of last year with victory in this year’s senior county championship final. Best of luck to Paul, Ger and all the lads and please come out and shout on the team
