Lotto: There was no winner of last week’s jackpot prize of €5,100.  The numbers drawn were: 6, 9, 12 and 13.  There were 8 Match 3s, each receiving €20. Siobhan O’Neill, Derrylevick, John J. Kelly, Coraclare, Lisa Cuddy, Deravoy, Noeleen McCrudden, Deravoy, Meabh McCluskey, Shanmullagh, Erin and Finbarr McGinn, Dernahinch, Rita Donaghy, Tamlet and Declan Treanor, Drumfurer.  Sellers prize: May McGivern (Weekly) and Josie Brady (yearly). Next week’s jackpot is €5,200.

Co. Monaghan Credit Union SFL:  We drew with Latton on Sunday last, both teams finishing with 1.15 a piece.

Platinum Tanks RLF 2B: We played our last league game against Blackhill on Wednesday last.  

U21s: We beat our neighbours Emyvale in the first round of this competition and now play Magheracloone in the semi final this Friday 17th July at 7.45pm in Magheracloone.

Minors: We played Magheracloone in the league last Tuesday 14th July. Our championship quarter final is fixed for Tuesday 21st July at 7.30pm in St. Mellans, where we take on Monaghan Harps.

Good luck: to the Monaghan team as they take on Donegal in the Ulster Final this weekend, and especially to our club representatives.

Festival of Football: All roads lead to St. Mellans this weekend for a festival of football not to be missed. From 9am, u10 teams from across the province will compete for the John ‘Paddy’ Treanor Cup.  At 6.30pm our stand will be named after the late Francie ‘Beckon’ Treanor.  This will be followed by a Memorial Game featuring recently retired stars from Ulster, as they take on those from the Rest of Ireland.  Please note that you can pay at the gate for this match, adults €10, students €5 and u16s free. Our victorious 1975 Owen Ward Cup Winning Team will also be honoured at half time of the memorial game. The days celebrations will be completed by the eagerly awaited Final Countdown Chat show.

Big Breakfast: Please support our Big Breakfast this Sunday 19th July.  Have your breakfast made and served by our senior players before heading to Clones to cheer on Monaghan.  Starts at 8am.  Proceeds will be shared with Errigal Truagh Special Needs.

Juveniles

Save the Date: Our Annual U10 Boys Blitz takes place this Saturday 18th July for the John Treanor Memorial Cup. Contact Mickey on 0866030027 for more information.

U12 – the Shield Final has been provisionally fixed for Saturday 8th August, where we will play the winners of Drumhowan and Toome.

U14 – Our game against Emyvale has been moved to Saturday 25th July in St. Mellans.  Check notes next week for time.

U16 – v Carrickmacross tonight Thursday 16th July at 7.30pm in St. Mellans.

Nursery Training: Continues tonight (Thursday) at 7pm to 8pm. We would ask if all parents of U6’s could stay for the hour to help in the supervision.

Boot Camp: Continues in St. Mellans on a Monday and Wednesday evening from 7-8pm, €4 per person. Men and women welcome. 

Hurling:

U12s and U16s have games on Monday at home to Keady and Lisbellaw.   

Seniors  beat Clontibret in the Senior Championship Quarter Final last Thursday and now play Inniskeen in the semi final.  We play away to Castleblayney tonight Thursday 16th July in the league.    

U8/U10 Training continues this Friday in Carrickroe at 6.30pm

Senior Ladies

Well done to the senior ladies on their great win over Emyvale B on Friday last. The girls put in a great performance and now progress onto the next round of the Intermediate championship. Thanks to all who came out to support the girls.

 

U-14/16 Girls

Our U-16 girls team suffered their first defeat in the league against Killevan last week. Team was Laura Mc Kenna, Emma Mc Aree, Ciara Treanor, Megan Mc Quaid, Niamh Fullen, Maebh Mc Cluskey, Meghan Mc Kenna, Ernesta Laureckyte, Lauren Treanor, Morgan Mc Kenna (1-8), Ellen Deery, Sinead Rafferty (1-0), Aoibhinn Treanor (0-1), Clodagh Mc Meel, Colleen Mc Gee, Aoife Tierney.

Our next U-16 game is away to Scotstown on Monday 20th July 2015.
