RIP Martin Daly:

Last Friday monring, Cumann Luthcleas Gael Domhnach Maighne said goodbye to one of it’s true Gaels as the late Martin Daly was laid to rest in Lisdoonan. Martin was a very important and influential member of our club for many years, someone much loved within the club and indeed our Parish, and this was reflected by the massive gathering that came together to pay their last respects to Martin and to console with his family and friends. Martin served his time as Chairman of the club for a period and ever since that has been an important member of the clubs Executive Committee. He also was Chairman of the Donaghmoyne Ladies Club right up until his final day and had held the position for the best part of a decade up until that. Martin will be greatly remembered throughout the area for selling tickets for the club lottery for many, many years. He was also very willing to support and get involved with many other developments throughout the Parish and he would never tire of lending his support to those who needed it. Martin will be sorely missed by all involved in Donaghmoyne GFC and his hard work, support and most importantly his friendship will never be forgotten. We hope that he’ll watch down over us and keep us safe in the future. Donaghmoyne GFC would like to offer it’s condolences and support to the family and friends of Martin.

May He Rest in Peace.
