U-14: Our Under-14 Division One team had a 3-11 to 1-4 win at home to Inniskeen in difficult conditions last Saturday. After an even start, our lads moved ahead with points from Annan Connor and Killian Conlon and a goal by Stephen Ward. Conor Devlin and Brendan Óg Ó Dufaigh both got forward to kick points and give the Harps a 1-7 to 0-2 half-time lead. Luke Coyle got the first point of the second half, before Killian Conlon and Lochlainn Power found the net to open up a healthy lead. Further points from Ógie (two) and Lochlainn finished the game on a high note. This was a good all-round performance, which saw Brian McAteer and Adam McGarry both make their first starts for this team.

Our Division Four team had another great win away to St. Tiarnach Sarsfields last Tuesday, this time in a league game in Clones. A second high-scoring game in the space of five days saw the Harps lads give another fine team performance to win by 9-7 to 6-6, with Adam McGarry leading the scoring this time.

The Division One league continues with an away game against Carrickmacross this Saturday at 1.15. The Division Four team travel to Cremartin for a championship semi-final next Tuesday and the league game at home to Clontibret has been rescheduled for next Thursday, June 11.

U-12: Our three Under-12 football teams all played league games last Saturday. Our Division One team played an exciting draw away to Emyvale. We started well with points by Shay Cooney (two), Luke McManus and Jake Power, but a topsy-turvy game turned for the first time when Emyvale blitzed us with four goals. Points by Jake, Luke and Liam Conway kept us in contention, but we still trailed by 4-2 to 0-8 at half-time. 1-1 by Tiarnán O’Rourke and two goals from Jamie Coyle saw us rally after the restart, before 1-1 by Shay Cooney, a point from Jake and a goal by substitute Josh Kelly gave us a healthy lead. Emyvale came storming back, however, so we had to settle for a draw on a scoreline of 5-11 to 7-5.

Team and scorers: Ben Myers; Ryan McSkeane, Liam Conway (0-1), Mark McManus, Daragh Croarkin (Capt.); Tiarnán O’Rourke (1-1), Kevin Moran; Luke McManus (0-3), Shay Cooney (1-3); Jamie Coyle (2-0), Jake Power (0-3f).

Subs used: Josh Kelly (1-0), Jamie Cooney, Gary Devlin, Michael McMorrow, James Curley, Diarmuid Magee, Cian Mac Cionnaith Brennan, Ailandas Jocys, Patrick Dooley-Duffy, Jordan Crampton, Conor Treanor.

Our Division Five team were also in Emyvale, where they had a convincing win. 2-2 by Josh Kelly, a goal each by Jamie Cooney and Shea Swift and points by Jake McConnon and Michael McMorrow got our lads off to a flying start and although Emyvale grew into the game, our lads were still well clear by the interval. Josh, Jamie, Michael, Jake, Ross Finnegan and Cian Mac Cionnaith Brennan also got on the scoresheet, as did Ben Myers and Conor Treanor in the middle period.

Team and scorers: Kevin Moran; Ben Myers, Jordan Crampton; Gary Devlin, Scarlett Herron; Michael McMorrow (0-2, 1f), Jake McConnon (0-3); Jamie Cooney (2-1, 1-0f), Josh Kelly (3-4); Ross Finnegan (0-1), Shea Swift (1-0).

Subs used: Diarmuid Magee, Cian Mac Cionnaith Brennan (0-1), Ryan Gallagher, James Curley, Aidan Cunningham, Patrick Dooley-Duffy, Luke McManus, Conor Treanor.

Our Division Four team lost out away to Corduff in their opening league game. The lads, who were without several players from the usual team, competed well throughout and were just a point down at half-time (1-4 to 0-6), thanks to two points each from Eoin O’Hanlon and Ethan Ballantine and one apiece by Seán Callan and Cian Bradley. Eoin hit 1-1 in the final period, with Oisín Treanor and Seán also on target, but Corduff hit three goals to claim a 4-8 to 1-9 win.

Team and scorers: Karol Parszywka; Dáire Conlon, Gregory O’Connell; Shane Moran, Senan Cudden; Eoin O’Hanlon (1-3), Ethan Ballantine (Capt., 0-2); Seán Callan (0-2), Cian Bradley (0-1); Morgan Coyle, Oisín Treanor (0-1).

Subs used: Aidan McGeough, Ali Galligan, Nathan Healy.
