Hurling Academy Coach Development Programme 2015

May 18th, 2015

There is a great opportunity to up skill yourself as a coach and move to the next step on the GAA Coaching Pathway. Kevin Kelly UHDO has arranged to run coaching weekends where all the Development Squad coaches in Ulster will be able to gain the Award 1 or Award 2 in coaching (depending on what level you already have). This is a brilliant opportunity to learn from Ulster GAA coaches and also to learn from Development Squad Coaches from other counties in Ulster.

The Friday evening will be in Kellys Inn, Garvaghey Co.Tyrone where your dinner and a bed for the night will be provided. The following morning you will have breakfast and then cross the road into Tyrone GAA Centre of Excellence for a day of both Theory and Practicalsessions which are part of the Award 1 or Award 2 curriculum.

Can you all please confirm with Aidan kelly (0870998036) if you would like to participate in the Coaching weekends by Thursday 7th may so we can book your place on these weekends.

See the dates below for the coaching weekends. –
Friday 29th and 30th May (instead of 5th & 6th of June as this is Christy Ring and Nicky Rackard Final Dates)
Friday 7th August & Saturday 8th August
A weekend in either Oct/ Nov, agreed with coaches at the first weekend.

If Monaghan are to go back to their own Hurling developments squads in 2016,we need new coaches to be up-skilled and ready to coach our future teams. Its up to each club to stand up and push hurling forward within the county. Each club will be expected to provide hurling coaches for the hurling development squads next year

This is a great opportunity for up- skilling the coaches for our future development squads so i hope each club can provide coaches for these coaching weekends
