Scór Sinsir

It wasn’t to be for our Scór Sinsir competitors in the Citywest Hotel Dublin on Saturday. Our club was represented by  Mollie McKeever in the Solo Singing and the quiz team consisting of – Niall Ó  Lamhna, Peadar Ó Lamhna, Séamus Ó Gionnáin and Seán Ó Corra.  The quiz team finished a very creditable 21st after what was an extremely tough quiz. Well done to all for making the All Ireland Final.

 

Co. Monaghan Credit Unions SFL

The senior team continued their good form of late with two wins over Clontibret and Latton last week. On Wednesday evening they ran out 2-9 to 0-10 winners over Clontibret away. Latton were the visitors on Sunday afternoon but they trailed 0-10 to 0-1 at half time and Scotstown continued to pile on the pressure in the 2nd half to run out easy winners on a scoreline of 2-15 to 0-4. Next up is Monaghan Harps away on Saturday at 7pm.

 

Eurotech JFL

The Junior team put in a solid performance on Sunday to beat Killeevan 3-14 to 2-9 to get their first points of the year. Next game is away on Sunday 3rd May to Sean McDermotts at 2pm.

 

Platinum Tanks Reserve League Division 1A

The next game is on Sunday 10th May at home to Magheracloone at 3pm.

 

Maguire Transport MFL Division 1

It was an up and down week for our minor team. On Tuesday last they made the short trip to Monaghan Harps which the hosts won 1-8 to 1-6. The minors were also out on Saturday at home to play a rescheduled fixture against Magheracloone. The lads put the midweek performance behind them to edge out the table toppers by a point 1-9 to 0-11. They play the reigning champions Donaghmoyne tonight 28th at home with throw in at 7.30pm.

 

Gerrys Prepared Veg U16 Division 1

The U16 boys had good win over a strong Aughnamullen side on Thursday at home. The game was in the melting pot midway through the 2nd half but our lads showed great character and belief to win on a scoreline of 4-9 to 2-6. They play Inniskeen away on Thursday 30th April at 7.30pm.

 

Gerrys Prepared Veg U14 Division 1

Next game is away to Latton on May 9th at 1.15pm.

 

Gerrys Prepared Veg U14 Divison 5

Next game is away to Latton at 12pm on May 9th.

 

Gerrys Prepared Veg U12 Spring Leagues

The U12 boys are in Spring League Finals action this Saturday. The B team play Monaghan Harps C at 12 noon. The A team play Clontibret at 1pm. Good luck to all.

 

Senior Ladies

The ladies have a bye this weekend and are not out again till Tuesday May 19th at home to Latton at 7pm.

 

Senior Ladies NCSG – Reserve League

The Reserve ladies an excellent 2-3 to 0-7 win against Latton on Sunday evening. They play Brigids – O’Neills on Saturday 9th May away at 6pm.

 

Minor Girls

The first minor game has been fixed for May 23rd at home to Carrickmacross at 5pm.

 

U16 Girls

The U16 girls are away to Killeevan tonight (Tues 28th). The game is been played at Aghabog at 6.45pm.

 

U14 Girls

Next game for the U14 girls is on Tuesday 5th May against O’Neill Shamrocks at 6.45pm.

 

Female Help Needed

We need some female help for our U6/8 and U10 academy on Saturday mornings. We have coaches in place but need extra help to come with the large numbers we cater for. If anyone would like to volunteer please contact Mark on 086-8937705 for more details. No coaching experience is necessary.

Ciste

The April Ciste draw took place in the clubhouse on Saturday night. Social Club

Our Social Club is open for all events. Whether it be a Christening, Party, Communion, Confirmation or any other event we are happy to cater for your needs. We offer packages supplying food and entertainment tailored to your requirements. Irish Classes

Ciorcal Gaeilge every Tuesday in the meeting room, sports complex between 8.30pm-9.30pm. Fáilte roimh gach duine.

 

Club Shop

Our club shop is open Fridays 7-8pm.

 

Sports First Aid

A Sports First Aid course will take place in the Complex on Wednesday, 29th April from 6:30pm-10pm. This course is aimed at all coaches/mentors involved with any juvenile or adult club team.
