Lotto Results. The numbers drawn in the Club Lotto on Monday, 13thApril were 1, 4, 14 and 19. The Jackpot was not won this week. The four winners in the Lucky Dip were Rosemary Lynch, Clontrain, Foncie Murray, Shercock, The Johnston Family, Stradone and Joan Freeman (D. D.)The next draw will take place in the clubrooms on Monday, 20th April and the Jackpot will be 3,600 euro.

 

Results. The Under-14 team were defeated in the championship by Truagh last week on a score-line of 3-14 to 5-4.

The Under-16 team began the campaign with a strong performance on Thursday evening against Latton. In a high scoring contest, Magheracloone claimed the points on a score of 7-21 to 4-6.  

The minor team has yet to taste defeat and played out an exciting draw with Donaghmoyne this week with the score reading 3-11 each.

 

Fixtures. The fixtures for the coming week include the first outing for the seniors with a short trip to Donaghmoyne on Sunday afternoon. The game is timed to start at three o’ clock and all support would be welcome for the first league encounter of the season.

The senior game fixed for this Wednesday against Monaghan Harps was postponed owing to bereavement in the Monaghan club.

 

On Thursday evening the Under-16 team will make the short trip to Killanny in Round Two of the League. This game is due to start at 6.30. p.m.

 

The Under-12 Spring League continues on Monday, 20th with an away game versus Carrickmacross. This game has been fixed for 7.00. p.m.

 

The minors will attempt to get back to winning ways on Tuesday evening when the team will travel to Clontibret to face the home club in the next round of the league. This game is timed for 7.15.p.m.

 

Under-10. The Under-10 team took part in the Killanny blitz last week-end and gave a very good account of themselves. Well done to the young referee for helping out in this very important task in Killanny. The club needs young members to take on this job and it is up to all members to encourage more young people to take up the whistle.

 

Under-8. Training for this group has recommenced on Wednesday, 15thApril, at 7.00 p.m. All players should have boots, tracksuit, shorts and a gum-shield.

 

Club Merchandise.   The new round of club merchandise is now available for purchase. Further information and an order form can be found on the club website. The last date for orders is this Friday, 17th April and the orders should be with the finance sub-committee by that date.

 

Easter Camp.  Congratulations to all involved in the recent Easter Camp held in the club grounds. Over eighty young people attended for the three days and enjoyed the activities on offer. A special word of thanks to Declan Farrelly and the coaching team along with the special coaches, both male and female, from the juvenile players in the club. It’s great to see the juvenile players getting involved in helping the young players in the club.

 

Congratulations. Magheracloone was well represented in Croke Park on Sunday at Allianz League semi-final day. Congratulations to Colleen Jones and Dylan Fox who played in the half-time game at the interval of the Monaghan/Dublin game. I’m sure both players are looking forward to playing in Croke Park soon……maybe next time as part of a successful Monaghan team.
