Under 10s

The under 10s had their first GoGames last Saturday morning in Currin and had visiting teams from KilleevanAghabog, Eire Og and Tyholland. All went off very well and a very special welcome to our two new players Aaron and Paul who made their debut in the Currin colours, two lads who are forecast to make an impact for Currin in the years ahead.

The under 16s had a good win in a challenge game against Scotstown B last Friday evening in Scotshouse. This eveningThursday, the lads travel to Threemilehouse where they take on Sean Mac Diarmada in our first competitive game of the year.

Minors

The U-18’s began their campaign on Tuesday last week away to Latton. In a game , literally of two halves, we got off to a great start and built up a commanding lead by half time. However the home side rallied in the second half and staged a comeback but our lads composed themselves and came away with a victory to kickstart their campaign. Final scoreline,  Patrick Emmett’s 7-18,  Latton 5-8. First home game was to take place on Tuesday 14th April against Emerald Sarsfields. Check website for results.

County football

Monaghan seniors were back again in Croke Park last Sunday against ‘the Dub’s’ and almost pulled off a sensational victory going down by just one point. Well done to Dick and all concerned. The ladies also had ‘a near miss’ against Kerry but the performances of both teams augers well for the championship.
