Reserves: The reserves started their year with an entertaining encounter against a strong Clones side, coming out the wrong side of a 3-15 to 2-10 scorefest after a tight battle throughout. Led by veteran warrior Keith O’Reilly, there were encouraging displays throughout, and it was great to see youngsters Conan, Ciaran, Keane and Peter involved for the first time. Eoghan Donaghy also made his long awaited debut, casting aside his trademark Benson for the cause. Next up is the visit of Killeevan to Toome next Sunday at 12pm. Best of Luck: To Our Lady’s Castleblayney in the St Patrick’s Day showdown against local rivals Patrician High Schoool, Carrickmacross. The game is down for an 11amstart in the Athletic Grounds, Armagh and there’ll be a strong Toome presence. Ryan Murphy, Daniel Friskey, Frank Connolly, James Wilson and John Gorman are flying fit, with former Toome player Eddie Kelly hoping to mastermind their success.

Under 14s: We welcome Drumhowan to Toome this Saturday in the first game of the league, throw in 2pm.
