Aughnamullen Notes

Lotto Results: Lotto Results for Sunday last. Numbers drawn were 01, 04, 08, 09, There was no winner. Jackpot now stands at €5,200. Lucky dip winners: Lucy Geoghegan, Martin Mc Mahon, Mollie Mc Brien, Rose Mc Ginn, Katie Mc Keon, Eileen Fox, Helen Mc Aleer, Amy Markey, Brendan & Rose Mooney & Barry Mooney.  Next weeks lotto team is: Angela Geoghegan Duffy, Caroline Geoghegan, Danielle & Colm Reyburn. 


Seniors:  Our Seniors play thier 1st game at home against Tyholland on Sunday next at 4pm. All support Welcome. Training will continue every Tuesday & Friday Nights at 8pm. Everybody to be present. 


Junior B’s Our Junior B’s lost against Ballybay on Saturday last with a score line of Aughnamullen (0-5) To Ballybay (1-5). Their next game is against Emyvale on Sunday the 29th of March at 2pm. All Support welcome. 


Minors: Training will continue every Thursday evening at 7.30pm. Everyone is expected to attend. 


Club Membership: Membership is now over due. Can all football players who have not yet registered for 2015 please do so as you are not insured if not registered. A small fee of Adults €20 and Students €10 covers you for the year. Payment can be made to Bernie Mc Brien asap. 


Annual Dinner Dance: Our Annual dinner dance took place on Monday night last. We celebrated our event with our Ladies this year,  with a great attendance. Our Senior players received thier medals for their achievement on winning the League Final last year. Senior player of the year was awarded to Sean Sheridan, Our Junior B’s received their medals for their achievement in winning their final. Junior B award was awarded to the one and only Seamus Courtney, while our Minor player of the year was awarded to Kevin Sheridan. Hall of Fame was awarded to Martin Gilliland & Bernard Markey. Our scór team also received a reward for winning the county final lately. Frank Marron received this reward on behalf of Joe Mc Ginn, Keva Morgan, Marie Mc Ginn, Nadia Markey & Sarah Mc Ginn. Our special guest County Secretary Anita Finnegan spoke highly of all our players and their mentors, She also congratulated Dermie Hamill and complemented the coaching mentors and our juvenile players who received a County Juvenile Achievement Award this year. With eight cups on display all in all our club have done themselves proud. Our Ladies also received their medals for their achievements throughout the year. Mentored by Joe Gilliland & Fintan Boyle. Joe spoke highly of the ladies and their commitment in been such a success Anita also wished the Club the very best of luck in the coming year. Fr Shane spoke highly of our club too and was honered to be part of if. Fr Shane also said he was now proud be be supporting not just Aughnamullen but to be A big County Supporter now. A true Blue.. A minutes silents was givin for all the deceased club members and their families who died throughtout the year. A hugh thank you to Ollie Morrisey and his staff for putting up such a lovely meal. Thank you to Maureen and the Bar Staff for all their help. Thanks to Bernie Mc Brien and anybody who helped to organise the avent. Everybody enjoyed dancing to Beetroot band who kept all our young players on the floor celebrating a great event.  A great night was had by all. 


AUGHNAMULLEN  JUVENILE  

Juvenile Registration:

Keep free the 22nd of March from 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm for all juveniles’ registration for all age groups. Registration fee of €5 per child. It is important for at least one parent to be present to sign the necessary forms.  On the evening John Paul Moen will be present to talk regarding the SISU mouth guards and also give a demonstration on how to fit and wear these mouth guards, not only are the unique and easy to wear but a child can also speak, breathe and drink through these mouth guards.

Also on the evening there will be a small number of Aughnamullen hats with crest @ €8 and Aughnamullen shorts with crest @ €12 for sale, as we only have a small number of stock remaining it will be on a first come first served basis.


Under 16’s

Training on Tuesday evenings getting ready for their league competition on Thursday 9th April against Donamoyne.


Under 14’s

Their first league game last Saturday against Killanny was called off due the death of Pat McGeough. Training will continue on Monday and Thursday evenings at 7 pm.


Under 12’s.

Under 12’s start their league campaign next Saturday against Doohamlet in Doohamlet at 2 pm, come out and show your support.


Sarsfield Stars:

Training for UN 8’s and 10’s boys commenced last Saturday the 14th March at 10 am, and will continue at the same time every Saturday, attendance was high for both age groups anyone with  a child for this age group please bring them along.

Juvenile Success:

Making  Money  For  Your  Club:

​Topaz Cash for Clubs. Topaz are running a cash for clubs where u can collect a stamp when you spend €40 or more on Fuel. all you have to do is collect a card at any Topaz station and get it stamped fill in your Club name and reg code  which is 10110. when your card is filled you can drop them into either myself Angela Pro or into the centre there will be a box there behind the bar. Rem you can get your stamp at any Topaz north and south. Each club will receive €250 cash for every 300 cards filled. Suport your club.

Ladies:
We are desperately seeking management for the U 12’s this year, We would appreciate if some of the parents would come on board to to fill this role, you wont be left on your own as there is two U18 players willing to help. 

Sympathy: 

Sympathy is extended to the Mc Geough family Cortard on the death of Pat Mc Geough . Also to the Connolly family Lattonfaskey on the death of Katie Connolly. May god have mercy on their souls.
