Truagh Notes

Lotto: There was no winner of last week’s jackpot prize of €3,200.  The numbers drawn were: 8, 14, 16 and 27. There was one match 3 winner, Della Hunt, Glenview Drive, Killygoan, Monaghan.  Seller’s prizes: Josie Brady (Yearly) and Phelim Daly (Weekly). Next week’s jackpot is €3,400. 


Fixtures

Our Senior Team play St. James’, Aldergrove in the next round of the Ulster League this Sunday 1st March at 12noon.  Our Reserve C Team also get their league campaign off to a start this Sunday 1st March away to Killany at 2pm.  Please check the noticeboard in St. Mellan’s for a full set of fixtures for the month of March.

Membership: Membership is now due for the coming year.  Please contact Gerard on 0874114530 for more information. Adults – €20, Students – €25, Juveniles (u8-u18, born 2007 to 1997) ;- €20 per child to a max of €50 per family. Closing date for registration is 22nd March 2015.  


Table Quiz: Truagh Festivals Group are holding a quiz this Friday 27th February at 9.00pmin St. Mellans.  All support appreciated. 


Traditional Night: with the Blackwater School of Music on Saturday 7th March at 8pm.  All other singers, musicians and dancers welcome. 


Mass: There will be a mass for the deceased members and friends of Gaeil Triucha in Clara this Saturday night 28th February at 7pm.  


Ladies Football

​Senior Ladies
​Well done to the reserve team who had a convincing win in their first game of the season v Magheracloone.

​Good luck to all girls participating in the Crossmaglen sevens on Saturday the 28th of February
​Well done to Caoimhe Mohan, Rachel McKenna and Eileen McKenna who were part of the Monaghan ladies team who defeated Cork on Sunday and thanks to all the support on the day that travelled from Truagh.  
​Training continues every Monday, Wednesday and Friday evening. Check group message for times. 

​U14 & U16
​Congratulations to Lauren Treanor, Meighan Mc Kenna, Niamh Fullen and Morgan Mc Kenna all of whom have been selected on the finalised panel for the Monaghan Ladies County U16 team for 2015.
​Training for all U14 & U16 girls continues in Clara Hall on every Thursday evening from 7pm – 8pm. All girls wishing to play for either of these age groups are asked to please attend same, as competition in both these grades is due to commence very shortly.
