Referees Wanted

Trainee Referees Foundation Course will commence on Friday March 6th in Cloghan at 7:30pm. Please email refereesadministrator.monaghan@gaa.ie or contact our club Chairperson Bernard Freeman. Candidates must be at least 15 years old. Younger referees will be used with U12 and go games. Without a referee we don’t have a game and the better the referee (generally speaking) the better the contest. Monaghan County Board are seeking referees for the new season. This is your chance to get involved. We all think we know better than the referee, now is your chance to prove it. Why not volunteer, if you think that you have what is needed to make a good referee then your club needs you. Training will be provided and the support of the county referee committee is guaranteed. This is an ideal opportunity for a young player or a recently retired player to make a further contribution to the game. There is a serious shortage for juvenile games so younger referees would be particularly welcome.

Coaching Course

Well done to Padraic Duffy, Francis Fox & Martin Mc Connon on recently achieving Level 1 U8/U10 coaching certificates. Coaching in the club is in a good place when we have coaches willing to attend these courses to keep themselves in tune with modern coaching techniques.

Bereavement

The Club would like extend our sincere sympathy and condolences to the families and friends of Eileen Duffy and Michael O’Connor. Our thoughts and prayers are withyou all. Suaimhneas síoraí ar a n-anamnacha.
