Youth Affairs
Referees
New referees are urgently needed to officiate initially at u/12 and u/14 level. If anyone within the club would like to referee then be assured that all support will be given both by the county board and the club. Representatives of the recruiting committee will visit the club in the near future. If anyone wishes to referee then please contact any of the committee.
Presentation of Medals:
The presentation of medals to the Currin players at Under 12 and Under 16 level in 2014 took place on Sunday last in the Community Centre. Our own Jack Mc Carron and Dick Clerkin were joined by Dessie Mone for the presentations. Dessie now teaching in Largy College was welcomed by our Chairman, Aidan Quigley. Youth Officer, Fintan Mc Philips presided over proceedings and it is hoped to have pictures and more details next week.
Largy College
Many of our young players have been involved with Largy College this year and have made great strides in capturing both U-16 and Senior County titles. We wish them all the best in their Ulster exploits.
County Matters
Well done to Dick and Monaghan who recovered after a shaky start to run out comprehensive winners against Tyrone on Saturday night last in Omagh. We now play Cork next Sunday.
