Minors:
Our Minors are returning to training under the guidance of Colm Reyburn, Patrick Geoghegan, Lee Conlon & Brian Mc Ardle. Their first game is due to be played on the 31st of March. Best wishes to the team and management as they begin their retrospective competitions and we hope the great support continues.

Club Membership: Membership is now over due. Can all football players who have not yet registered for 2015 please do so as you are not insured if not registered. A small fee of Adults €20 and Students €10 covers you for the year. Payment can be made to Bernie Mc Brien asap.

AUGHNAMULLEN JUVENILE
Aughnamullen Juveniles have restarted the new year ahead, Under 12’s under the guidance of P.J. Forde and David Lynch are training on Tuesday and thurdays at 7pm. Their first game is due to be played mid-March.

Under 14’s are up and running under thee guidance of Gerard McGeough, Frank Marron, Jake Murtagh, Sean Duffy and Dermot Hamill on saturdays their first game is due to to be played on the 14th March.

Under 16’s are returning to training after mid-term break, under the guidance of Brian Duffy, Joe Duffy and Gene Duffy, their first game is due to be played on the 9th of April. Best wishes to all the teams and management as they begin their retrospective competitions and we hope the great support continues for all teams after sucah a successful year last year at juvenile level.

The strength and conditioning programme after 21 sessions finished up on Monday passed but we hope the boy’s continue this programme at home as they know the benefits of the programme. We would like to thank Mary B Hamill and Frank Marron for rolling out the programme.
Juvenile Success:

Dates To Keep Free:
Race Night: Don’t forget the players Race Night on Friday 27th Feb. All players should have sponsorship cards at this stage and anyone who missed out can get one from any committee member. Keep selling boys as the full cards will need to be handed in not later than Sunday 22nd.
Annual Dinner Dance: Our Annual dinner dance will take place on Saturday the 14th of March. Tickets are €15 for a 3 course meal. Music on the night from Beatle Juice.

Sympathy: The late Tommy Bannigan
Aughnamullen lost one of it’s best ever servants with the death of Tommy Bannigan Lisduff last week. The late Tommy was a quiet family man and was one of life’s gentlemen He had a great love of GAA and served his beloved Sarsfields with distinction as a player and later as a mentor. He was a no nonsense defender with loads of skill who was renowned for his famous drop kick and his accuracy of passing. He was an integral member of the 1964 and ’65 Dr.Ward Cup winning teams and was hohoured with a club Hall of Fame award some years ago. Sincere sympathy to his sisters relatives and friends. Ar dheis De go raibh a anam dhilis.
