Pool Competition: Owen Bannigan memorial cup singles pool competition commencing 13th January. Names to be in to Martin on 087 7336372 by 4pm on Sunday 11th. Draw for competition Sunday night the 11th at 8pm.

Party Night: Social centre Christmas and New Years draw takes place sat 17th January dancing to G Mac extra prizes for those present on night.

Deepest Regret: On Saturday the 27th of December Aughnamullen GFC lost one of its loyal supporters John West Augherlane who died peacefully. John was a very loyal club supporter within our club. John served the club in many different capacities on the clubs committee. In 1993 he became Treasurer of our club. During this time he was involved in many different aspects of the clubs development which included the purchase of the Juvenile Field at the GAA grounds however his greatest contribution was the setting up of the Club Lotto which was and still is a great source of income for the club and his monthly financial reports at committee meetings was as detailed and as accurate as any report would be.
He also served as management to the Reserve teams during this era and was part of the successful 2003 Reserve League Winners and his approach to these teams was second to none. During this team he also served as kit man to all our Senior Teams and if any jersey or footballs went missing he made sure they were returned promptly.
After he retired from the Committee he always remained a loyal club member and was always only a phone call away if any member of the club needed assistance.
In 2012 he was inducted into the Clubs Hall of Fame a Honour he was very proud of and was a well worthy Receiptent of this award.
Sincere Sympathy is extended to his wife Mary, Son Owen, brothers, sisters, relatives and indeed large circle of friends may God have mercy on his soul.​
Sympathy: Sympathy is also extended to West family on the death of John’s Brother Pat, England who died recently May God have mercy on their souls.​
