125 Year: Our 125th Anniversary Commemorations commenced on Thursday 1st January with a mass for our deceased members. This was followed by the release of 125 green and white balloons at the clubhouse at 1pm. It was great to see young and old share in these celebrations and it was a fitting start to what will be an important year for our club as we mark this significant milestone. Our 2015 Calendars are currently on sale for anybody who may be interested. A word of thanks to Conor Clerkin from Flowers of Magic who supplied the helium for the 125 balloons which helped us all save what little breath we have.

Congratulations: They say good things come in threes. So it was with weddings in Aghabog over the New Year Period. Congratulations to Seamus McMenamin and Charlotte Brady, to Louise McPhillips and Paddy Croarkin and to Caroline Tierney and Gavin Whyte. Wishing all three new couples a lifetime of happiness together.

Scór Commemoration: Our club is looking forward to 2015 when we celebrate the 125th Anniversary of our affiliation to Cumann Luthchleas Gael. We are already working on projects that will contribute to our celebrations. In this regard, we will be hosting a concert in conjunction with Aghabog Dramatic Society on 16th March 2015 to showcase all the talent that has represented the club, over nearly 50 years, at Scór Spraoi, Scór na nÓg and Scór Sinsear. This is a very big undertaking and to get things started we are holding a meeting on Tuesday, 6th January 2015 at 8.30pm in the clubhouse. We are asking that anyone who has participated on behalf of the club in Scór at any level attend this meeting. If you are unable to attend the meeting but did take part in Scór over the years, or if you have any queries please contact Noel on 047 54083, Seamus on 087 2076533 or Pat on 087 2297822. Please make every effort to support our club on what is sure to be a special occasion!
