Players Meeting. Over twenty-five players attended a meeting with the new management team on the Sunday before Christmas.. The manager and trainer outlined their plans for the new season and hope to begin their training regime on 18th January.

Strictly Christmas Dancing. A huge crowd turned up at the Nuremore Hotel on Sunday evening for the club’s Strictly Christmas event. All associated with the club are delighted with the support shown for this venture and in particular for the dancers. Everyone agreed that an enormous amount of work had been done by each couple and this showed in their performances. However, when the votes were counted, Lindsey Murray and Barry Kelly were declared winners of the competition following a stirring presentation of the Hip-Hop dance.

The audience were very generous on the night and strongly supported the raffle and auction as well as showing great support for all the dancers.

The chairman of the club, Bernard Freeman, paid tribute to all who had helped in any way to make this event such an outstanding success. He acknowledged the help of the main sponsors, Doran Motors and McNally’s Lounge as well as the many other sponsors who expressed their support through the pages of the specially- produced programme.. He thanked the committee members and their various helpers along with the dancers who had given so generously of their time since September and he had a special word of thanks for those men who braved the Arctic weather conditions to help with parking on Sunday evening. He was delighted to see so many people from the parish and beyond coming together to support the club’s development programme and he assured the audience that the money raised would be wisely spent in developing the club facilities for the club members, both male and female.

New Year Wishes. The chairman, Bernard Freeman, extends best wishes to all club members and supporters for the festive season. He wishes to thank the Lotto supporters for their loyalty to the Lotto during 2014 and wishes a Happy New Year to all.
