Congratulations
Congratulations and best wishes to Elizabeth McMahon, Cloncorrick, who recently celebrated her 100th birthday. She is a loyal supporter of the club and is a regular investor in our Lotto.

Senior team management.
Currin are delighted to announce that their management team for 2015 will be Darren Chapman and Pauric Treanor. We are delighted to have such an experienced and sought after team in place. Darren is no stranger to Currin folk. The Chapman family have strong ties with Currin and the Connon’s part of our parish. Darren’s father Pat was a Currin supporter and used to be a regular at our games in the 70’s and 80’s. We wish Darren and Pauric and the team the very best of luck in the coming season.

Committee matters
The new committee will be meeting early in the new year but already work is going on. Our new Registrar John Connolly wishes to remind all members that he will be collecting membership for the coming season in the near future.

Deceased
Barry O Brien, Scotshouse. R.I.P.
There was a deep sense of shock and sadness when we in Currin G.F.C. learned of the untimely death, before Christmas, of Barry O Brien, Scotshouse, in England. Barry, originally from Cork, spent most of his life in teaching in England and only retired to Scotshouse a few years ago where he immediately immersed himself in community life. He soon became a fervent supporter of Currin G.F.C, never missing a game. Having become a committee member he took up the position of PRO and served in that post for a number of years. He started up the Scotshouse Bowls club and was looking forward to the new season in 2015. Currin G.F.C. extend our sympathy to Irene, his wife, his family, friends and neighbours. Funeral arrangements later. Go ndéana Dia trócaire ar a anam uasal.

Fr Harry Mc Carney, Clones, R.I.P.
Currin G.F.C. would like to extend our sympathies to Danny Mc Carney, principal, St Enda’s N.S. and his family, on the death of his uncle, Fr Harry Mc Carney, Clones and Kilteegan. May he rest in peace.

Paddy Murphy, Drumavan, Scotshouse. R.I.P.
It was with great sadness that we learned of the death of Paddy Murphy on Monday 29th December. The Murphy family have been great supporters of Currin G.F.C. both on and off the field and we extend our sympathies to his family, children and grandchildren and his wide circle of friends. Go ndéana Dia trócaire ar a anam uasal.

New Year wishes
We in Currin GFC would like to wish all our members, players, volunteers and supporters a Happy New Year in 2015.
