Magheracloone Notes

October 15th, 2014

Lotto Results. The numbers drawn in the Club Lotto on Monday, 13th October were 10, 12, 19 and 23. The jackpot was not won this week. The four winners in the Lucky Dip were Niall Doherty, Drumconrath, Jim Shannon, Magheracloone, Ryan Jones, Tonaneave and Micky Faulkner, Kingscourt. The next draw will take place in the clubrooms on Monday, 20th and the Jackpot will be 1,300 euro.

Senior League. The senior team made the trip to Monaghan on Sunday to face Monaghan Harps with two more vital points at stake. Despite a strong second half performance from Magheracloone the points went to the home team on a score of 1-12 to 0-12.

The Top Four and relegation places have still not been decided and it looks as if this competition will not be decided until the final series of games. Magheracloone’s next outing is on Saturday evening in Inniskeen versus Castleblayney. Members are asked to note the change of day and that the game will throw in at seven. This is the last home game of the season and a huge turn-out of supporters would be welcome to help the team over the line and so ensure senior football for 2015.

Cumann na mBunscoil Finals. Two schools from the parish will be represented at the Cumann na mBunscoil finals which will take place in Clontibret on Saturday. Scoil Bhride, Mullaghrafferty, will play either Rockcorry or Three Mile House in their Divisional final while Drumgossatt N.S. will face Latnamard in their final. Magheracloone G.F.C. would like to extend best wishes to both teams in their finals and would like to thank the teachers and coaches for their work in preparing the teams.
