There are just four matches remaining in the league this year and hopefully the lads will find their form in order to avoid relegation.

Minor Championship

After a 60 year break our minor team reached the final of the minor championship in 2013 only to be defeated by our neighbours Carrickmacross. With all credit to the dedication and belief of their management Anthony Burns, Sean Fitzsimons and John Mc Clory and the enthusiasm of these players they are back knocking on the door in the minor championship final again this year. An unbeaten Donaghmoyne team provide the opposition for the 2014 final. Let’s hope our team can put in a strong enough performance to make history and win the division 1 minor championship cup for the first time ever. We would hope for a large turnout to get behind the team and cheer them on to victory. Kick-off is 2pm in Clones this Sunday 5th October. Please support this young minor team.

Under-10

U-10s are now finished for the season. We would like to thank the children and parents for showing up in large numbers to training, challenges and to blitz games all year. Best of luck to our players who will make the step up to U12s next year.

The club would like to thank the mentors Gary Byrne, Francis Fox and Eamon Mc Keown we hope they will continue their great work next year. Also thanks to other parents who helped out during the year it is very much appreciated.

Under-8

U-8s final training session will take place this Wednesday 1st October in Scoil Bhride at the earlier time of 6:45pm to 7:30pm. A presentation of tops to the children kindly sponsored by Elaine & Sean Fitzimons will take place at 7:15pm.

DVDs are now available for all the recent finals, U-12, U-14 & U-16. All copies are €10 each. Please contact the team coach to order a copy.

Training for Children born in 2008 & 2009

The U8 club coaching staff realise the need for some additional coaching requirements for all kids planning to join the U8 training and development academy in 2015. We have decided to pilot an 8 week indoor training program for kids born in 2008 & 2009

ONLY. Training will commence on Saturday 4th October at 10am in the community centre for one hour. You must be a member of the club and registration forms will be available each morning. Registration will cover you for the 2015 year also. Indoor footwear only please. GUM SHIELDS ESSENTIAL.
