Seniors: We defeated Castleblayney in the senior league last Saturday in St. Mellans, 1-11 to 0-12. 40th Celebrations Launch Night. We are gathering tomorrow night Friday the 26th in St.Mellans to launch our “40th Birthday Celebrations”, we hope to have as many of the original committee along with the existing committee there on the night, also we hope to have some of our very successful juvenile and senior players in attendance for a few photo’s, on the night also we shall be joined by our main sponsor “Truwood”, as without these and all our competitions sponsors our club would not be as successful as it has been our the past 40 years, we will be having our main celebration night in St.Mellans on the 8th of November so keep the date free as we would like to see as many of the old and new down to join in with the festivities, food will be served on the night.

Juvenile Registration. We will be continuing will juvenile registration on Friday evenings from 7:30pm for a few weeks to try and get all registered so we can begin coaching and start up the leagues, we will also have a bit of coaching for an hour or so for any that want to come down and try out handball for the first time, old and new welcome, both boys & girls, same rates as last year 5 euro per child, goggles are essential, no entry into the alley without goggles.

  1. The club will be holding the AGM on Tuesday the 30th of September and we would like to ask people of the area to consider coming on board this term to help out, as the club grows steadily bigger each year the amount of organising events leagues etc also increases, so as the old saying goes “many hands make light work”.

Mono League. As of now all agm forms will have been distributed to all members so we ask to please fill in and return, this is important as it states as to who wants to play in which competitions throughout the year, there are whispers that some folk are coming out of retirement and these individuals might have not received a nomination form so any of these players  can forward their name to any member of the committee of their intention to play in the Mono adult league, thank you.
