Intermediate championship Semi final

The Semi final of this year’s championship has seen us pitted against South Monaghan Rivals Corduff. It has been a solid professional run so far this year with wins over Seans and Clones, however Corduff will be the toughest test to date.

They have bounced back well after their first round shock defeat against Cremartin, with convincing wins against Carrick and Clones through the back door process.

The Match is a double header bill scheduled for Saturday 27th in Castleblaney, our throw in will be at 1.30pm followed by the other Semi of Donaghmoyne/Rockcorry at 3pm.

All support will be greatly appreciated.

Intermediate League

The Grattan’s went back to the top of the table on Sunday with a win away to Local rivals Donaghmoyne.

The game was a hot tempered affair; however we found gears at vital periods in the match to do enough to secure the 2 points.

The first twenty minutes was tight with both teams matching each order point for point until Doni Meegan scored a goal which sent us in at half time with a 1-04 to 0-03 lead.

We stepped on the gas early in the second half with 3 early points from Paul, Ronan and Doni Meegan, However a lapse in concentration allowed Rory Woods in with a Goal against the run of play.

The lads responded perfectly with a super move that Ronan Meegan clinically dispatched to the roof of the net to increase the margin back to 5 points.

The last ten minutes proved to be a nervy affair as we lost Colm Meegan for 2 yellows. It was backs to wall business as Donaghmoyne came in waves, however Inniskeen where professional in defense and seen out the game with a score line of 2-09 to 1-10.

It was a crucial win as only 3 points now divides us in top and Clones in 6th and one defeat at this stage can see you slip out of the top 4.

Next up is Cremartin at home this Saturday at 3pm, we need more of the kind of support we received in Donaghmoyne Sunday, it was top class.
