Eurotech JFL  Last night Wednesday 3rd September we took on Aughnamullen away from home. This match was definitely a tale of two halves. The half time score as Drumhowan 0-2 Aughnamullen 2- 6 our only scores coming from 2 Colm Lambe frees. The second half opened with an Aughnamullen own goal.  Colm Lambe scored another point followed by a goal.Kevin Mooney then chipped in with a point before another Colm Lambe free. Aidan Duffy finished off Drumhowan’s scoring with a point that could have so easily finished in the net. Aughnamullen held out to take the 2 points. The full time score was Aughnamullen 2-9 Drumhowan 2 – 7 Scorers were Colm Lambe 1-5( 0-4f) Aughnamullen Own Goal Kevin Mooney 0-1 Aidan Duffy 0 – 1

Then on Saturday evening the 6th September we took on Éire Óg in Páirc Mhic Eoin. At half time Éire Óg led by a point  1- 7 to 1 – 6. The 2nd half had even less scorers with Drumhowan managing to outscore ÉireÓg by a point to leave the match a draw. The full time score was Drumhowan 1 – 11 Éire Óg 1 – 11 Scorers were Christopher Mc Ginnity 0 – 3 (2f) Colm Lambe 0 – 3 (2f) Aidan Duffy 1 – 0 Kevin Mooney  0 – 2 Kieran Mooney 0 – 1 Niall Mooney 0 – 1 Anthony Mulligan 0 – 1  A great improvement will needed if we want to succeed in the Championship Final. Our next game in the league is next Sunday 14th September ar 12.30pm away to Toome. Please note the change in date and time.

Gerry’s Prepared Veg U14 Div 3 -Drumhowan 4 – 12 Eire Óg 3 – 14 (according to the ref – think we got an extra point – but we won so doesnt matter!! )
Another Saturday and another juvenile win this time the manner of victory even more exciting than the U12s as we were behind the whole game and won in the last minute due to a Joseph Duffy goal.
At half time the score was Drumhowan 2 – 6 Éire Óg 3- 9 and by the end of the 3rd quarter their lead had increased to 7 points. However 2 goals and 4 or 5 points in the last quarter meant Drumhowan won at the end. Due to exciting finish we missed one or 2 of the scores so if you know who they are let us know

Under 10 – We took part in this 28 team tournament in Gowna on Saturday last. We were placed in a very tough group against Cavan Gaels, Cootehill and eventual tournament winners Gowna. We got off to a bad start against Cavan Gaels but put in a much improved performance going under to Gowna. The final game aginst Cootehill was a real humdinger and unfortunately a goal with the last kick of the ball saw Cootehill win by two points. Our players can be proud of themselves as they aquitted themselves well against much bigger clubs in terms of size and numbers and they really enjoyed the day out,

Under 8 Go Games –  Drumhowan hosted a blitz on Saturday morning last with teams from Donaghmoyne, Aghabog and Tyholland all in attendence. There was five games running at the one time and over 85 children all playing. We fielded two teams in the blitz. Thanks to all who helped to organise and run the event on the day.
