The Corduff Senior Men made a return trip to Scotstown on Saturday last to play Clones in Round 3B of The McGuigan Builders Intermediate Championship. Despite the fact that Clones dominated the scoreboard until the 18th minute the winning momentum continued for Corduff. A Jason Hand goal in the 19th minute sparked a turnabout. Clones levelled matters in the 25th minute but that was it as Corduff went on a scoring blitz after half time . Raymond Byrne added a goal with Jason adding a second one to his personal tally. In what was a very impressive team performance Corduff ended decisive winners on a score line of Corduff 3-15 Clones 0-11.In doing so they move onto the Championship Semi-Final against Inniskeen on Saturday September 27th at 1:30pm in Castleblayney. This is a double header with the Corduff match the curtain raiser. So once again we’re calling on all Corduff supporters to make the short trip to Castleblayney on Saturday week to support the team and management.
