Well Done: to our senior hurler s who won the senior hurling shield last Sunday beating Clontibret in Aughnamullen, 3-11 to 1-11.

Good Luck: to Paudie and the Monaghan senior team this weekend against Dublin in Croke Park. Anyone who ordered tickets through the club can collect them this Thursday evening at 9pm in St. Mellans.

Seniors: We are due to play at home to Clontibret in the SFL next Wednesday at 7.30pm.

Reserves C: We recorded a semi-final win over Monaghan Harps in the reserve division 3 championship last Friday evening, 3-14 to 1-7. Our team and scoreres were: Martin Treanor; Niall Treanor, Michael McCartan; Ryan McKenna, Darren Todd (0-1), Cathal McAnespie; Aaron Treanor (1-2), Ciaran Feely; Niall Skinnader (0-1), Brendan Treanor (1-3), Chrissy Meehan (0-1); Chrissy McAnanley (1-5), Chrissy Todd (0-1). Subs: Gary Treanor, Mickey McGeough, Chrissy Curran, Enda Landers. We now advance to the final against Killanny. Fixture TBC. We were due to play away to Toome last Wednesday evening in the league. We have qualified for the semi-finals of the league, with a home tie against Killanny. Fixture TBC.

U-21: We conceded last Wednesday evening game against Scotstown. This finishes our campaign.

Minors: In a high scoring and entertaining game, we defeated Toome in the MFC Div. 2 quarter final  last Tuesday, 8-12 to 3-10. Losing by 11 points at half time, we drew level at normal time. In the extra time period, we amassed several scores to win out comfortably in the end. We now advance to the semi-final of the competition next Tuesday 12th August, where we play Clontiibret in Emyvale at 7pm. We overcame Toome 3-18 to 5-9 last Tuesday in the league to secure a league semi-final berth against Cremartin on August 19th.

Recreational Tournament: We have been invited to take part in the Scotstown recreational tournament this Friday evening. Our first match is at 7pm.

U-16: We won away to Monaghan Harps last Thursday in the league, 2-12 to 3-5.This guarantees a place in the league semi-final. Our U-16 championship is on this Thursday 7th August away to Clontibret at 7.30pm.

U-14: Our next match is at away to Scotstown on Wednesday 20th August at 7.30pm.

U-12: We play away to Killanny in the division 1B cup semi-final this Saturday at 11am .

U-10: Training each Thursday evening between 7-8pm.

U-6 & 8s: Training each Thursday evening between 7-8pm. All welcome.

Lotto Jackpot now €8,900: There was no winner of last week jackpot prize of €8,800. The numbers drawn last week were: 5, 18, 21, 23. There was 1 match 3 winner receiving €100: Kelly Treanor-Davagh. Sellers Prize: Hurling club and Eamon Treanor. Next week’s jackpot is €8,900. Check Team: Josie’s. The lotto draw will take place at 10.30pm each Sunday night. All tickets must be submitted before 10.15 to ensure entry.

Club Shop/DVDs: The double DVD boxset of our All Ireland win is now available to purchase. Priced at €20, it includes the full All Ireland final as well as highlights of the matches enroute to Croke Park. The DVD also carries interviews with players and supporters as well as footage from the homecoming. The DVDs were excellently produced by Lavery Photo and Video and is an essential item in every supporter’s DVD collection. The boxset can be purchased in the club shop. Club merchandise orders can be made to Eilish on 0877857680. The shop is open each Thursday between 7-8pm. Club shoulder hold all bags are now available to purchase at €15,

Hurling:
Seniors– Well done to our senior hurler s who won the senior hurling shield last Sunday beating Clontibret in Aughnamullen, 3-11 to 1-11. We revert back to league action this Thursday with a home game against Inniskeen at 7.45pm.

U-14: We play at home to Carrickmacross on Monday, 11th August, at 7.30pm. We then play to Castleblayney on 18th August at 7.15pm. Training each Friday 7-8pm. All welcome.

 

U-12: We were due to play Monaghan Harps in the shield final yesterday, Wednesday. Check twitter for details.

 

Ladies:

U10/12:Training continues Tuesday at 6.30 & Saturday 11.30 in St Mellans. Everyone welcome!

 

U14/U16 :Our U14 girls open their championship campaign with an away game to Castleblaney on Monday next 11th August at 7pm. All support very welcome.

Training for all U14/U16 girls continues on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7pm to 8 pm.

 

Minors/Seniors:Monaghan Harps beat our senior team on Friday last in St Mellans. Our next game is v Emyvale in the Reserve final. No fixture for this game yet but expected to be played in next 2 weeks.
