Toome Notes
Senior Team: Our next league game is Next Wednesday evening 13/08 when we welcome Aghabog to Toome for a 7:30 throw in.
Best Wishes: To the Monaghan team as the pride of 60,000 farney men face the pick of a million Dubs. On paper, we shouldn’t stand a chance, but the paper has never won a game. Whoever wins, the Dubs will waken up with sore limbs on Sunday morning!
Reserves: Well done to the reserves on an exciting 4-15 to 1-17 win over Emyvale last Friday evening. We face Truagh in Toome on Wednesday (06/08) in a must win fixture if we are to make the semi finals of the league.
Minors: We played Truagh on Tuesday 05/08 in the final round of the league, with the reuslt being vital to whether we make the semi finals. We unlucky to go down after extra time to the same opposition last week in the championship, after a brilliant display in normal time.
Under 16s: We make the trek to Scotshouse on Thursday evening to play Patrick Emmets in the championship, throw in at 7:30pm. Best wishes to team and management in what promises to be an exciting encounter.
Under 14s: Next match is Saturday 16th at home to Aghabog.
Under 12s: We welcome Cremartin to Toome on Saturday morning for a 10:30 throw in. Regardless of the result, we have a semi final next Tuesday evening at 7:30, venue and opposition to be confirmed!
Under 10s and Under 8s: Training every Saturday morning at 11:00. New players are always welcome!
Nursery Games: Toome Nursery Games for U-6’s continues every Friday at 6.30pm in Toome Centre. New members are very welcome, so come along and join in the fun.
Club Gear: Can still be ordered with Margaret Donaghy or Irene Connolly.
Rounders: Rounders for ladies continues every Monday evening at 6pm in Toome! Note earlier time. Ladies of all ages are invited to take part in a fun way to keep fit! Contact Irene for further details.
