Seniors: Last Friday’s scheduled SFL game against Latton was postponed. We are due to play Ballybay next Wednesday, depending on the county team’s result on Saturday – check website etc. to confirm if this game is going ahead.

Reserves: We host Truagh in the McKeown Cup semi-finals tomorrow evening (Friday) at 7.30. All support welcome. Clones conceded last week’s RFL Division Three fixture.

U-21: Our Under-21s beat Emyvale at home in their last group game last Sunday. Points by Francis Lynch, Michael Galligan and Niall Greenan and a brace of goals from Fearghal McMahon had our lads ahead by 2-5 to 0-2 at half-time. Scores were harder-earned in the second half and Emyvale had chances to get back into the game, but although they did get a goal, scores by Fearghal, Shane Hannon and Niall Treanor secured a 2-9 to 1-4 win.

Team and scorers: Ryan Shields; Pauric Murphy, Niall Treanor (0-1), Mustafa Gamal; Conor Forde, Turlough Clerkin, John Mulligan; James McKenna, Evan Doherty; Michael Galligan (0-1), Niall Greenan (0-2f), Francis Lynch (0-1); Shane Hannon (0-1), Fearghal McMahon (2-3, 0-1f), Brendan McQuaid.

Subs: Shane Maguire for Forde (inj., 42 mins), Éimhín Morahan for Greenan (46), Colm Flynn (Capt.) for Lynch (51).

Minors: Our minors lost out in their championship quarter-final away to Donaghmoyne last Tuesday. We stayed with the league leaders throughout the first half, with Éimhín Morahan and Niall Duffy on target, and although we conceded a soft goal to go in trailing by 1-5 to 0-6, we started the second half well, with John Mulligan and Éimhín bringing us level. Donaghmoyne eventually got on top, however, and they finished strongly to put the game beyond our reach.

Team and scorers: Darragh Hannon; Daniel Kelly, Darragh Treanor, Tiarnán Bramley; Kevin Lyden, Mustafa Gamal (Capt.), David Lowry; James McKenna, Dylan McKenna; Kyle O’Leary, Éimhín Morahan (0-5, 3f), Niall Duffy (0-2); Reece Treanor, Ciarán McQuaid, John Mulligan (0-1).

Subs: Ruairí Forde for Duffy (inj., 38 mins), Marc Brennan for Kelly (47), David Carey for R Treanor (55), Adam Treanor for Lyden (56).

We were away to Killanny in the league on Tuesday – see website for result – and we host Carrickmacross next Tuesday.

U-16: Our Under-16 footballers got a walkover from Corduff last Thursday and they host Truagh this evening (Thursday).

U-14: Our Under-14 Division One team fell to a narrow defeat away to Emyvale last Tuesday and also came out second-best in a high-scoring game in Carrickmacross on Saturday.

U-12: Our Under-12 Division 1A team will face Inniskeen next Tuesday evening in a play-off for a semi-final place. Check website etc. for venue. Our Division 3B team played Scotstown on Tuesday – see result online.

County teams: Good luck to Conor Galligan, Shane Smyth and the Monaghan senior footballers against Kildare at Croke Park on Saturday. Mary White is running a bus to Croke Park for the double-header. Contact her on 086 2661766 for more details.

Summer Camps: We will be hosting a Harps Summer Camp on the week of August 18-22 for children aged between six and 12. Forms are now available from club members. More details to follow.

Club gear: Jerseys, hoodies and jackets will be ordered this week. Contact Una Forde on 087 6107329 ASAP if you want to put in an order. Payment must be made up front.

Music: The traditional music session planned for this week has been postponed until further notice.

Hurling: Our Under-16 hurlers played out a high-scoring draw away to Carrickmacross in their semi-final on Monday evening. The teams were level at the end of the 60 minutes and even extra-time couldn’t separate them, as it finished Carrickmacross 2-22 Monaghan Harps 4-16. The replay is due to be played on Monday evening at Gavan Duffy Park, while the Under-12 Shield game against Truagh should also be rescheduled for next week.
