Senior Football:
The Drumlin Group of Credit Unions Senior football league restarted last week with two fixtures, both played at home. On Wednesday we played Scotstown and in a great game Scotstown scored three late points to get a draw. Final score, Currin, 1-12, Scotstown, 0-15. On next Friday 22nd August we play Truagh in the championship in Emyvale at 8.15 p.m.
Youth Affairs
Under 10’s:
St Tiarnach’s Park in Clones was the venue on Saturday last for a county wide under 10 ‘Go Games’ blitz. It was an early start with a 9:30 throw in for our first game versus Aghabog followed quickly with games against Clontibret and Clones. Each game was a very competitive affair and all teams performing very well. We had a full turn out of under 10’s and Currin was represented by Peter, Daniel, Shannon, Megan S, Eoghan, Adam and Ronan ably supported by Kevin and Megan A. Thanks to all parents who turned out in support. Training continues for under 6s, under 8s and under 10s on Saturday morning at 9:30.
Under 12s
The Division 1B Finn Rua (Currin/ Clones) team travelled to Smithborough to take on Scotstown in the Shield final on Tuesday and came away with a great victory. Full report later. Well done to all concerned.
U-16’s:
Patrick Emmetts take on neighbours and school mates Killeevan in the last game of Division 3 League, prior to the play offs, this (Thursday) evening at Scotshouse with a throw in time of 7:15. All support appreciated.
