Toome Notes
Senior Team: We had a good away win against Aughnamullen last Saturday evening in the league. We host Scotstown on Wednesday 21stin our last league game before the championship opener on Friday 30th v Drumhowan in Blackhill at 8pm.
Reserves: After a good opening round win against Aghabog, we welcome Clontibret to Toome on Friday evening at 7:30pm in the McKeown Cup.
Minor & Under 16: Are on their exam break at present.
Under 14s: Had an exciting win away to Aghabog last Saturday, with strong performances throughout. Next game is away to art holland on Saturday 31st May.
Under 12s: We play Eire Og in the spring league final in Cloghan at 1pm on Saturday, best of luck lads!
Under 10s and Under 8s: Training every Saturday morning at 11:00. Everybody welcome, for what is an entertaining hour of football!
Nursery Games: Toome Nursery Games for U-6’s continues every Friday at 6.30pm in Toome Centre. New members are very welcome, so come along and join in the fun.
White Posts: You might have noticed that the Toome forward line have improved their accuracy recently, and the place is a bit brighter looking but you can’t think why. Well local painter Sean O’Reilly, ably assisted by the McCooey brothers generously gave up their time recently, and painted the goalposts among other things. Liam insisted upon painting the black spots on the crossbars, so he’d know exactly where to aim the frees at.
