Senior Championship: We travelled to castleblayney on Sunday eve to play Latton in the Gormley UPVC Senior Championship in what was a wet miserable evening for football. Doohamlet got there first score with a well taken free from Paul Mc Ardle and after that it was really the story for the rest of the game as it was point for point for the whole way. Paul Mc Ardle scored another free in teh 24th minute to leave it 0-2 to 0-3 to Latton at half time. A fine point by Jamie Walshe in the 44th minute got us back on level terms and further points by Barry Mc Ginn and Colin Walshe left it very tight going into the last ten minutes, 3 unanswered points by Latton gave them a 3 point lead going into injury time and a free by Paul Mc Ardle left the final scoreline Doohamlet 0-7, Latton 0-9.
