Club & Primary School Hurling Blitzes
Primary School Hurling Go Games Blitz 16th May 2014
On Friday Monaghan Hurling Development Officer Pauric Dowdall held a Go Games blitz for primary schools in ?Monaghan. In what was a scorcher of a day weather wise we had over 70 children out playing hurling for two hours. The grass was cut lovely for hurling and all the children seemed to really enjoy it. Thanks to the schools and teachers for attending Castleblayney BNS, Scoil Mhuire Clontibret and Annyalla NS.
Also thanks to our four referees from transition year in St Macartans College Monaghan for doing a great job with the whistle. The referees were Mark Murphy, Conor Flynn, Reece Treanor & Ruairi Forde.
First Club Hurling Go Games Blitz of 2014
On Wednesday 14th May saw Pauric Dowdall Hurling Development Officer organise the first U8/10 outdoor Go Games blitz of this year. Four Hurling clubs took part, Truagh, Inniskeen, Carrick & Castleblayney and there was one Camogie club and they were Clontibret. We would like to thank all the clubs and mentors for their support in ensuring that the blitz was a success. The next blitz is penciled in for Wednesday 18th June in Cloghan.
