All Ireland Celebration Banquet: Days are counting down and numbers are adding up for our All Ireland Champions Celebration Banquet which is being held in the Hillgrove Hotel on Bank Holiday Sunday 4th May at 7pm. Awards for our teams will be given out on the night in this historic year for the club and is a must celebration night for all supporters. Tickets are being distributed at present and are selling fast at €35. For those who have yet to order their ticket, they can be ordered with John Treanor-0871342738 or Gary Meehan-0868368417.

Seniors: Our next match is at home to Currin on Friday 2nd May at 7.45pm.

Reserves B: Last week’s scheduled match against Magheracloone was postponed due to bereavement in Magheracloone. Our next match is away to Clontibret this Saturday 26th April at 7pm.

Reserves C: Our next match is in the reserve championship at home to Balckhill on Saturday 3rd May ay 7pm.  The next league match is Saturday, 12th May, at home to Emyvale at 5.30pm.

Minors: We were due to play at home against Magheracloone last Tuesday 22nd April. We follow this with an away match against Clontibret next Tuesday, 29th April at 7.30pm.

U-14: We were beaten in the semi-final of the championship last Saturday against Aughnamullen.

U-12: We play at home to Monaghan Harps at 12pm.

Lotto Jackpot now €7,400: There was no winner of last week jackpot prize of €7,200. The numbers drawn last week were: 7, 8, 11, 26. There were 4 match 3 winners, each receiving €25: Brian Shirley, Sean McCarron, Emma Monohon & Niall McCarron (Yearly Ticket). Sellers prize: Rossmore Bar & Margaret Counihan. Next week’s jackpot is €7,400. Check Team: Gary’s. The lotto draw will take place at 10.30pm each Sunday night. All tickets must be submitted before 10.15 to ensure entry.

Club Shop/DVDs: The double DVD boxset of our All Ireland win is now available to purchase. Priced at €20, it includes the full All Ireland final as well as highlights of the matches enroute to Croke Park. The DVD also carries interviews with players and supporters as well as footage from the homecoming. The DVDs were excellently produced by Lavery Photo and Video and is an essential item in every supporter’s DVD collection. The boxset can be purchased in the club shop. Club merchandise orders can be made to Eilish on 0877857680. The shop is open each Thursday between 7-8pm.

Field Bookings: Field bookings for training sessions can be requested by email to pro.truagh.monaghan@gaa.ie with preferred slot.

U-12: Training for U-12 each Monday and Wednesday evening between 7-8pm. We beat Scotstown in our first outing last Saturday. Well done boys.

U-10: Training each Thursday evening between 7-8pm. Gum shields are mandatory for all. Annual registration due for all U-10s. Fee €20 and will be collected at training.

U-6&8s: Training each Thursday evening between 7-8pm. All welcome.

Last Man Standing : Well done to Michael Treanor who won our last man standing competition after the 10th round of competition.

Hurling:
Seniors– We claimed a walkover in the DHL last week against Inniskeen. We start our SHL campaign this Thursday, 24th April, with a home match against Monaghan Harps at 7.30pm.

 

Minors – We defeated Monaghan Harps last Sunday, 1-12 to 2-6. Our next game is at home to Cootehill this Saturday at 5pm.

 

Know Your Sport – sports prediction competition. Get your form from any hurler.

U8 & U10 – indoor continues every Friday evening in Carrickroe Community Centre. All welcome including newcomers.

 

Ladies:

U10/U12: Training continues Saturday mornings at St. Mellans at 11am – All welcome to come along & enjoy playing and learning the skills of Gaelic football.

Seniors: Training continues as usual Tuesday & Fridays at 7.45 pm and Sundays at 9.15 am.
