Inniskeen and Castleblayney played out two fine games of football on Saturday last. In a very wet and windy Páirc Grattan, both sides dealt with the conditions very well.
Castleblayney displayed some great football in the first game and took some brilliant scores. The Faughs were too strong for the hosts, winning well in the end. Both sides tried very hard and were coached well.
In the second game the sides were more evenly matched and the game was played with some great gusto, tempo and determination. Castleblayney started much the brighter, but the visitors were clawed by a hard-working Inniskeen side. The home side went in front just after half-time and never lost their lead; winning by two points (0-9 to 0-7).
Two to watch;
Kean Huab (Castleblayney) & Barney Blake (Inniskeen)
Doohamlet and Drumhowan U-14s is the next feature game this Saturday at 12pm.
