Seniors:

The Intermediate Football League resumed last weekend as our Seniors took on neighbours Corduff away from home last Saturday evening. This was a tight encounter throughout played in very windy conditions. Donaghmoyne with the aid of the wind in the first half went in with a comfortable lead at half time, a lead which Corduff just couldn’t overturn in the second half as Donaghmoyne ran out victors with a two point margain, to make it two wins from two in the league so far. The lads took on Cremartin at home on Wednesday evening last, see next weeks results and notes for the result.

Reserves:

On next Wednesday evening our reserve squad take on Eire Og away from home in the Reserve Football League. Throw in is at 7.30 in Smithborough, make the trip to support the lads as they try to maintain their unbeaten run.

Minors:

Our Minors had their fourth game of the season away to Carrickmacross on Tuesday evening last, see official fixtures for result. Next Tuesday evening they have a tough encounter with Scotstown at home. Throw in is at 7.15 in Donaghmoyne, come out to support the lads as they look to continue their good run in Division One thus far.

U16s:

Our U16s continued their league campaign at home to St. Pats on Thursday evening last. This was a tight encounter from start to finish and thankfully the lads came out with a 7 point win, back to back wins and a good start to the league. This Thursday evening they continue their campaign at home to neighbours Magheracloone. Throw in is at 6.45 in Donaghmoyne, come out and support the lads this Thursday evening.

U14s:

The U14s have their third league game at home to Ballybay this Saturday morning. Throw in is at 12 o clock in Donaghmoyne, please come show your support for our stars of the future.

U12s:

On Saturday morning both our U12 sides had the 3rd  round of their Spring league competitions at home against Iniskeen. The first game saw our lads come out with a comfortable win but in the second game the lads where up against it, they had to fight hard for the win and in the end they were worthy of their 7 point win. Training continues Saturday morning from 10.45.

Mouthguards:
Gum Shields have now become compulsory for both training and matches in the season ahead. It’s important all juvenile players and senior players have their mouthguard in place before entering the playing grounds. At Annual Congress in April 2012, a new rule was enacted that made it mandatory to use a mouthguard in all Gaelic football matches and training sessions from January 1st 2013 for all age grades up to and including minor. The rule will now come into effect at Under 21 and Adult level from January 1st 2014. Players will not be covered under the player injury scheme if they are not wearing a mouthguard.

The Lucozade Sport Bottle Caps for the Donaghmoyne Club Crusade can be dropped into any of the 4 schools in the Parish, Mc Caugheys shop and also Lisdoonan Shop. Please Support.
