The County Team of 6 had a comprehensive victory in the Ulster Final played at Monaghan Harps. Cavan made up the opposition.  The Monaghan team consisted of the following Under 12 and Under 13 players: Tiarnan O’Rourke partnered Deivydas Kaklauskas; Eoghan Mc Ginnity partnered Ryan Harnett and Jakub Szkup partnered Konrad Kowal.  The All-Ireland Finals will be played on the weekend of April 5th. The venue is likely to be Roscommon.

 MELLANS HANDBALL

All Ireland Final. Aaron and Ryan Mohan play their U15 Doubles All Ireland Final on Saturday morning in Clooney Co.Clare, they are second on the program which starts at 11am, so their game may be about 12am, in the final the boys face David Walsh and Tadgh O Neill from Cork, lets hope the boys can bring yet another title back to the club, also the club would like to wish Gavin Coyle from Bawn all the best as he plays in the U17’s Singles All Ireland Final in Clarecastle Co Clare where he plays Mickey Maher from Tipperary, here’s hoping for a brace of titles heading to Monaghan.

Mono League.  The Mono League final was played Saturday evening past between the “Walnut” and “Cherry” teams, the Walnuts were victorious as in the final game Michael needing 14 points against John to secure the title, which was a just a bridge too far for John, well done to the winners as this brought the curtain down on a long campaign this season, the winners “The Walnuts” were Damon Hughes, Aaron Mohan, Gary Todd and Michael Mc Carron, the runners-up “The Cherry” team consisted of John Mc Carron, Cairan Treanor, Kevin Treanor and John Treanor, well done to all.

GAA Team. Good luck to the GAA “B” team who take on Bawn in a play-off for a semi-final position, possibly tonight (Thursday), good luck to all players

County Finals. The re-fixed Nov4 final between Gary Todd and David Treanor from Tydavnet will hopefully be played also this week, but due to Gary being involved in several games it is being left to both players to arrange the final between themselves, also Eamonn Todd has got a walk-over into the Junior Final where he faces Paul Cassidy from Tydavnet, so good luck to all concerned.
