The lads put in an excellent display and ran out comfortable winners to make the perfect start to the year. Their next game is away to Corduff on April 20th.
Minors:
Our Minors kicked off their season at home to Killany on Tuesday evening last. See official fixtures for results. Next game is away to Monaghan Harps, also see fixtures for venue and time and get out and support the lads.
U14s:
The U14s started off their league campaign last Saturday at home as they took on Killany. The lads put in a good display and ran out comprehensive winners, a good way to start the year. Their next game is away from home against Castleblayney Saturday week.
U12s:
On Saturday morning both our U12 sides have the 2nd round of their Spring league competitions away from home against Carrickmacross. The first game throws in at 12 and the second game throws in 1.15. Make the short trip to Carrick on Saturday to see our future stars perform.
Mini Fontenoys:
Mini Fontenoys starts back this Saturday morning from 11-12 in Donaghmoyne, weather permitting. All children from the ages of 5-10 years old are welcome. Parents are asked to get involved and help out and coach our future stars.
Recently Deceased:
The club would like to extend its sympathies to the families and friends of Annie Rooney, Woodlands CMX and Corleck, who died recently.
Lotto Sellers Wanted:
Any children in the parish who would be interested in taking up a lotto selling route would be more than welcome as we would like to cover more and as much of the parish as possible. Each child selling lottos will also receive a commission. Anyone interested can contact Brian on 0872915864.
Mouthguards:
Gum Shields have now become compulsory for both training and matches in the season ahead. It’s important all juvenile players and senior players have their mouthguard in place before entering the playing grounds. At Annual Congress in April 2012, a new rule was enacted that made it mandatory to use a mouthguard in all Gaelic football matches and training sessions from January 1st 2013 for all age grades up to and including minor. The rule will now come into effect at Under 21 and Adult level from January 1st 2014. Players will not be covered under the player injury scheme if they are not wearing a mouthguard.
Coaching Courses:
There are a number of Foundation and Level One Coaching Courses being run by Monaghan Coaching and Development in the next few weeks for anyone interested. For more information see the Monaghan GAA website or contact Colin Finnegan on 0879090477.

Club Membership for the following year is now due. The fee is €20 and can be given to any club officer.
