History: For the first time ever in Emyvale, a minor team was entered in county competition in 1950 as well as a junior team. The junior team reached the county championship semi-final but it was the minor team that brought success to the club when they won the Minor Championship defeating Killevan, Clontibret, Clones & Castleblayney on their way to victory. That team was: Sean Finn, J. J. Mc Meel, Kevin O’Neill, Mick Kelly (Captain), Jim Smyth, Aiden Quinn, Mel Mc Kenna, Sean Hendry, Gerard Smith, Tom Mc Gettrick, Raphael Mc Kenna, Pat Mc Kenna, Mickey Byrne, Peadar Mc Geough, Pat Treanor, John Corrigan & Raymond Mc Gettrick. That was the first team to wear the black & white strip. For some strange reason, it was decided to affiliate the team to senior football in 1951 & 1952 but they had little success. In 1952 senior, junior, minor & U14 teams played in county competition & the U14 team won the County Championship. That team was: Kevin Forde, Mick Corrigan, Patsy Forde, Mickey Mc Kenna, Seamus Campbell, Cyril Kerr, Philly Brady, Packie Hughes, Micheal Kilroy, Gerard Quinn, Patsy Mc Quaid, Mick Sweeney, Kevin Majnone, Oliver Fields & Martin Kilroy.
