Juvenile Presentation Night – At the Juvenile Presentation Night in Smithborough Hall on Saturday, the all conquering Under 12, Under 14 and Under 16 Girls teams were presented with their County Championship winning medals, with Monaghan All-Star Conor McManus on hand to do the honours. Speaking at the function club chairman Ciaran Leonard remarked that it had been one of the most successful years ever for juveniles in the Eire Og club, with 6 County titles being annexed by our young boys and girls. Youth Officer Raymond added that the success was proof of what hard work and dedication could bring. The ladies section of our club would like to record our thanks to Conor McManus for coming along on the night in the midst of a very busy schedule. Unfortunately despite their willingness to attend none of the Ulster winning Monaghan Ladies team could be present as they were on their way to Cork for Sunday’s national League game. Hopefully the members of these very successful girls teams will in the coming years bring Eire Og toe the very top in Ladies football and go on to represent the club on that same Monaghan team.
