Alpha Lotto – Results for last Sunday nights draw were Y,R,N,J. There was no winner. Operation Transformation – With just over 2 weeks to go everyone in the community is been asked to get their walking/running shoes on and hit the streets. It’s never to let to start. Remember our community 5k fun run/walk takes place on Saturday 1^st March, more details to follow so watch this space.

Ladies Registration Night – Registration for girls in all age groups will take place in the club rooms on Fri. Feb. 21st from 8 to 9pm. All who intend playing for the club this year should come along on the night.

Interested in Ladies Adult Football  – Anyone from the Smithboro/Clones and surrounding area interested in playing Adult level football with our club in 2014,please contact Kerrie at 085 7041102. The Reserve League will be commencing shortly

Girls Open Day – There was a good turnout, of girls in the 3rd to 6th class age group at our Open Day on Sunday.The girls took part in various fun activities under the watchful eye of Mary and Siobhain.Hopefully we will see all of these girls lining out with our Under 12 team this year. For any girls who did not make it to the hall on Sunday playing for the club is still possible by showing up for girls Registration Night on Fri. Feb. 21st from 8 to 9pm.

Girls & Boys Juvenile Presentation Night – The all conquering Under 12, Under 14, and Under 15 & 16 teams will be presented with their winner’s medals at the club’s Juvenile Presentation Night in Smithboro Hall on Saturday night. This will take place at 8pm sharp. A member of Monaghan’s Ulster Championship winning team will be on hand to do the honours.

Membership – membership rates for 2014 will remain unchanged at €20 and can be paid to Enda McCluskey. We would encourage existing club members to renew their subscriptions as soon as possible and we would sincerely welcome any newcomers wishing to join.

Adult Football – On Saturday night last our seniors played a useful challenge match against Shercock at the 3G pitch in Breffini Park Cavan. Special mention must go to both Corey McAree and Mattie McElvaney who made their senior debuts on the night – both lads acquitted themselves well in their first appearance and didn’t look out of place. Also it was good to see the return of Darach McCluskey from Injury and Darren McMahon (back from his travels). All in all the match will provide the mgt team with plenty of food for thought in the weeks ahead. Training continues on Tuesday and Friday nights. Thanks to Shercock for the match.

Presentation Night – Our annual Club Presentation night will be held on Saturday the 8th March in the Skule Inn. It is hoped a large crowd will gather to reflect and celebrate our year and in particular to congratulate the reserve and minor footballers who will receive their league winning medals. There will also be a number of other awards given out on the night. Before that the minors will be honoured at the Clones GAA club presentation on the 15^th February in the Creighton Hotel when they will receive their championship medals as part of the winning St Tiernachs team.

Defibrillator Course – A refresher course for all the people who undertook the original Defibrillator course will be held in Clones Civil Defence Centre on Monday 24^th Feb & Tuesday 25^th February at 7.30 p.m. It is important that everyone attend as there is new information to be given on the night. To conform your attendance on this course please contact Margaret 047 57021 after 6pm before Friday 21^st February. Looking forward to a full attendance.
