Club Membership 2014:
Membership will be collected this Saturday night in the club social centre, it is also available from our secretary & committee members costing €10 Full Membership & €10 Social Membership. Persons using our social centre must renew or become members. Members may apply for tickets for county championship games, may apply for All-Ireland Final tickets, may use our social centre free of charge, book a function or use our club meeting rooms free of charge and may also use our secured picnic area in addition to the free use of our walking facility when completed.
Juvenile Training:
Minor and U-16 training will commence next week. Management will be in contact with players to make arrangements.
New Referee’s Induction Course:
A training course for new referees from juvenile to adult grade, will take place in Cloghan on Friday 7th March 6-30pm-8-30pm & Saturday March 8th 9am – 1pm. Any member considering taking up refereeing should contact our secretary Marie Murphy (0868293209) to book a place on this course. Light refreshments will be served on both days.
GAA National Club Draw:
Blackhill GFC are participating in the GAA‘s national club fundraising initiative. Tickets priced €10 are on sale from our players and committee members. All monies raised go direct to club finances. Prizes provided by the Ard Comhairle include a trip to the 2014 International Rules in Australia, All-Ireland packages, Corporate box concert tickets, a travel voucher and other great prizes. February 28th is the final date for submission of cards.
Gum Shields:
It is every player’s responsibility to wear a gum shield in training and games. The GAA insurance scheme no longer covers dental damage which is deemed preventable by the wearing of a gum shield.
HOLIDAY BREAK:
The closed period for adult football is from the 25th June until the 7th July.
