Lotto:

 

The Lotto  was held on Sunday last the numbers were 3,8,19,22. The jackpot was not won. Lucky dip winners were:

Danielle Mc Gorman, Damien Hannaway, Clare Mc Caul, Sean Mooney, Markey Family, Harry & Patricia Smyth, Kathleen Meegan, Christine West, Cillian Duffy & Breege Ward. Next weeks jackpot is €4,600. Next weeks lotto team is John Sheridan, Patrick Duffy, Gerard Mc Geough & Rosemary Johnson.

Following a meeting the time the draw will now be at 10pm every Sunday night.  All sellers envelopes must be returned by 9pm please.

 

Membership: Membership Rates for the year are as follows: Adult €20 Student/Minor €10 Under 16 €5.
Annual Supper Dance: The Annual Supper Dance is being held on the 15th February. Tickets cost €20 you can contact Brian Mc Ardle on 0834191986 or Bernie Mc Brien on 0871309240 if interested. Guests of Honour will be the successful Reserve team of 2013 and the Hall of Fame recipients and various player of the year awards. Good nights entertainment is guaranteed.
Strictly Come Dancing DVD’s: There are a limited number of DVD’s if interested contact Bernie Mc Brien on 0871309240.
Operation Transformation: Aughnamullen GFC is running its own Operation Transformation shortly. Registration is on the 13th February from 7 30 – 9pm. It starts on the 25th February culminating with a fun run on Easter Sunday. More details later
Reserves: The Reserves have been drawn against Corduff in the  preliminary round of the championship. If successful they play Inniskeen in the Quarter finals.
Minors: Derek O Neill, Michael Murtagh And David Lynch have been confirmed management of our minor team in 2014. Best of luck to all concerned.
Juvenile:
A registration night will take place this Saturday evening the 8th of February between 6.30 -7.00pm for children between the ages of 4- 10 year olds which
parents have to attend to sign and allow their children to play football and train on Saturday mornings
Coaching Corner.
Aughnamullen are hoping to run their own foundation course with includes code of ethics and child protection courses, if there are enough people interested in attending.  This is now compulsory to have if anyone is involved with coaching teams from senior level down to Nursery.
There are a number of football and coaching workshops coming up in the next month. Anybody involved with teams from u16 to senior should try and make these. Check these out on Monaghan GAA website for further information. Or contact Dermot Hamill on 0879209609.day mornings. Cost of registration is €5.
Juvenile Presentation : Juvenile Presentation was cancelled last Sunday due to arrangement of County game last Sunday.It will now take place at a later date.
Sympathy: Sympathy is extended to the family of the late Hughie Geoghegan, Lisduff who died recently. Hughie was a former footballer with the club winning  Fr Maguire Cup Medal in 1956, Dr Ward Cup in 1964 & 1967 and a Junior championship in 1965. He also starred in 1972 Intermediate Championship and 1973 championship and league success. He also acted as selector in 1978 Intermediate Championship winning team and in 2009 was inducted into the clubs Hall of Fame. Again sympathy is extended to his children Philip, Maureen, Martin, Geraldine & Frances his brothers Phil, Tom & Peter his sister Bridie, sister in law, grandchildren, nieces & nephews and his sons in law Martin & Sean sister in law Eleanor, may god have mercy on his soul.
Sympathy also extended to Margaret Dooney, Mullinary on the death of her brother in law Joe Poosz who died recently.
Also to Tara Smyth, Creeve and the Leonard Family, Ballybay on the death of Kathleen Leonard who died recently. May god have mercy on their souls.
Best wishes : Best wishes is extended to Truagh in the all Ireland intermediate club final on Sunday next.
