Mouthguards
Please remember that from the beginning of 2014 the wearing of mouthguards has become mandatory for ALL players, seniors as well as under age, in ALL Gaelic football matches and TRAINING sessions. It is the responsibility of each individual player to use a mouth guard. A properly fitted mouth guard is the best available protective device for reducing the incidence and severity of sports-related dental injuries. Players can even be sent-off in a game for not wearing a mouth guard, and most significantly players will not be covered under the GAA player injury scheme if they don’t comply with the mouth guard rule. In view of this rule change, Paddy Mc Dermott will be available this Friday evening between 7.00 p.m. and 8.00 p.m. in the clubrooms to take moulds. Cost of mouthguard, coloured, €45, white, €40.
