Convention: The annual county convention took place last Thursday night in the Hillgrove Hotel, with a nice selection of trophies at the front of the room. Seán McKenna stepped down as secretary after four years and became an Ulster Council delegate, while Garrett Coyle was re-elected unopposed as Coaching Officer. Good luck to them and to new Chairman Pádraig Sherry and Secretary Anita Finnegan. Thanks to Under-16 players Shane McMahon and Niall McManus for helping out with the microphone on the night. Well done to all.

Christmas presents: The Ladies Club are currently selling Harps-crested mugs and iPhone covers. See Ladies news for full details.
Ladies: The Division One Reserve League Final was played last Sunday, with Donaghmoyne coming out on top on this occasion. The team was: Allison Treanor, Laura McManus (Capt.), Hannah Clerkin, Orla Whelan, Shauna Hetherington, Jennifer Treanor, Eimear O’Rourke, Tessa Fleming, Emma Clerkin, Una Rooney, Sinéad Maguire, Niamh Maguire (Vice-Capt.), Gráinne Treanor, Dearbhla Lenehan, Stephanie Keenan, Tiarna Lavelle and Orla Callan. This has been a long season for both our reserve and senior panel given the first training session of the year was on February 1, with the final game of being played on December 8. However, it has been a fruitful year as we reached the finals of both league competitions we were in, winning the Division Two league title. Our last adult league title prior to this was the Senior Division One in 1995. Reaching the Division One Reserve League Final has been a fitting way to finish the season despite the result not going in our favour. Thanks to all the girls as well as David Mee, Eileen McElvaney, Catherine Clerkin and anyone else who has helped us throughout 2013 with the senior teams in any way. Finally, a big thank you to Seanine and Tierna for the meal after the final last Sunday, it was really appreciated.
